The Macon County Junior High School Tigerettes added two more ns to their record last week.
On November 11, the Tigerettes traveled to Trousdale County. The Tigerettes got an early lead in the game and Trousdale County never managed to get anywhere close to the Tigerettes.
Leading the scorers for the Tigerettes were Courtney Clark, Sarah Clark, and Holly Compton. Amy Spears, Jamie Gregory, Mindy Miller, Kaitlyn Gregory, Sierra Conley, Cayce Russell and Katie Kirby also scored for the Tigerettes.
Leading rebounders for the Tigerettes were Courtney Clark and Amie Shaw. Also credited with grabbing some rebounds for MCJHS were Holly Compton, Casey Russell, Rachel Vance, Jaclyn Carter, Amy Spears, Jessie Stafford, Kaitlyn Gregory, Mindy Miller, Sierra Conley and Sarah Carter.
Leading the team in steals for the night was Holly Compton.
At the final buzzer, MCJHS had defeated Trousdale County by a final of 52 - 22.
On November 14, the Tigerettes hosted the Westmoreland Lady Eagles.
Leading scorers for MCJHS were Courtney Clark, Holly Compton, and Kaitlyn Gregory. Casey Russell, Amy Spears, Mindy Miller and Sierra Conley also racked up some points for the team.
Leading the Tigerettes in rebounds were Courtney Clark and Casey Russell. Helping out on boards were Mindy Miller, Sierra Conley, Holly Compton, Amy Spears and Kaitlyn Gregory.
The team leaders in steals were Sierra Conley and Courtney Clark. Holly Compton, Kaitlyn Gregory, Casey Russell, Mindy Miller and Jaclyn Carter also grabbed some steals for the team.
The final score - - Tigerettes 48 and Westmoreland 20.
The next regular season game for MCJHS will be on December 2, when they host the RBSJHS Lady Bulldogs. Tip-off is 6:30 p.m.
The Tigerettes are excited about the season and encourage everyone to come out and support them.
