Mr. Larkin Smith, 87, of Kettle Creek community in Monroe County, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, June 07, 2010 at the Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, TN.

He was born on October 01, 1922 to the late Archie Thomas and Ella (Nivens) Smith in Monroe County, Kentucky.

Mr. Smith was a farmer and enjoyed his hunting and fishing. He was also a member of the Kettle Creek Church of Christ.

Survivors include: Sons: Gene (Louise) Smith – Kettle Creek, KY., Junior (Delma) Smith – Kettle Creek, KY.; Grandchildren: Tom and Mary Smith, Jason and Leslie Smith, Amanda Smith and Jimmy Carter; Great Grandchildren: Stephanie Smith and Baylee Smith; Nephews: Ronnie and Johnny Smith; 2 Great Nephews: Keith Monday and Danny Monday. A host of Family and Friends also survive, as well as 2 Great Nieces: Penny Hix and Diane Isenberg

He was preceded in death by:

Parents: Archie Thomas and Ella (Nivens) Smith; 1 Granddaughter: Melissa Smith; 2 sisters: Allie Kennedy and Annice Coleman; 1 Brother: Alton C. Smith; 3 Nephews: Robert Coleman, Bud Kennedy, Donald Smith; 1 Niece: Virginia Monday.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 11, 2010 at 3:00 PM from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home in Celina, TN. burial will be in the Smith Cemetery in Kettle Creek, KY. Jason Dodson and Bobby Bartlett officiating.
