The first annual EB Krantz Memorial Softball Tournament was held this past Saturday. EB Krantz’s family held the tournament to raise money for scholarships for graduating high school students. The tournament had six teams total to enter. The 10U age group consisted of the Lafayette Lunachicks, the Columbia Bandits, and the Bowling Green Knockouts. The 12U age group consisted of the Macon Stars, the Watertown Tigers, and the Mt. Juliet Lady Bears.

A silent auction was also held during the games to help raise additional money. Despite the stormy weather and many rain delays, the tournament was a huge success. Many attended and all had a great time. Even though it was a very emotional day for the family, much was accomplished. A large amount of money was raised in honor of Mr. Krantz, a man who was very well known and loved in Macon County.
