Betty Lou Sneed, age 74, of Lafayette, passed away on Saturday morning, November 11, 2006, at her daughter’s residence in Hartsville TN. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of the Alexander Funeral Home with Elder Mike Carver officiating. R. C. Bransford, Huston White, Cody Dennis, Megan Sutton, Kyle Sircy, Katie Ellis, Dale & Morgan Turner, and Kristen Hix served as Honorary Pallbearers. Dean Ellis, Shaun Turner, Paul Kirby, Michael Ethridge, Joe Hudson, Kevin Sexton, and Lonnie Stubblefield served as Active Pallbearers. Interment followed in the Walton Cemetery.

Betty Lou Sneed was born on Saturday, August 20, 1932 in Macon County, TN, the daughter of the late Marshall Ambers and Melvina Jane Russell Kirby. On February 27, 1952, she was married to Sam Sneed, who preceded her in Death on May 10, 2004. Besides her husband and parents, her brothers, Dee, Bee, Vester Clay, Zollie Ray, and Seal Vester Kirby, sisters, Velvi Moline Ellis and Fannie Jane Kirby, preceded her in death. She operated a Day Care for Children for many years and was a member of the Lafayette Church of Christ.

She is survived by, daughter, Linda (Roy Wayne) Scruggs, Hartsville, TN; son, Ricky (Sherry) Sneed, Knoxville, TN; brother, Bradley Kirby, Lafayette, TN; sisters, Velma E. Stubblefield, Lafayette, TN, Robbie Jean Ellis, Whiteland, IN, Juwiona Young, Franklin, IN; grandchild, Rene (Randy) Pridemore, Hartsville, TN great-grandchild, Kobe Pridemore.
