Auction for the Arts, Macon County Art Council’s annual fundraiser, will be held Saturday, August 25th, at 6:00 p.m., with early viewing beginning at 5:00 p.m. It will be held at the Sally Wells Building on the Macon County Fairgrounds. The evening will include an ‘Italian Bar’ supper by Linda’s Catering, musical entertainment by the local group “Kinship”, and the auction. Ben Bray will again serve as our auctioneer.
This year MCAC has over 70 pieces of artwork to auction. Included in the line-up are several wonderful pottery and ceramic pieces from local artists, hand-made crafts such as baskets, and many spectacular paintings. There is even a collaborative piece done by the students of the Teen Art Classes. MCAC is sure there will be something there that will appeal to everyone!
