Comprehensive Rehabilitation sponsored the trophies given to Macon County Jr. High School students this week for winning one-mile run times. All students in the school completed the run, on different days, and times were calculated across grades 6-8 to give 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for both boys and girls. Separate winners were chosen for band students, who don’t have the same amount of time in PE, and one winner was selected from the CDC running group. Coach Jason Wheeley thanked Anderson Funeral Home for their generous lending of a tent to be used on running days.
Coach Gattis also pointed out Krista Perkins’ accomplishment: she is the only student known to have placed first in all three years that she was a student at MCJH—during 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.
