Weather delay results in Macon County playing host to York at home in doublehearder District games on April 8th. Game 1: Johnny Brown took the mound for the Tigers. The game tied in the 3rd inning at one run each. What resulted in a pitcher/defense duel, the game went into extra innings. In the bottom of the 12th inning, Hunter Williams hit a single and Jacob Brown hit a double scoring Williams to win the game with final score 2 – 1.


Johnny Brown gets the win with an outstanding record performance of 22 strikeouts, 3 hits, and 2 walks. Craighead gets the save with 4 strikeouts, 3 walks, and allowing no hits.


Game 2: Tigers would be quest on the scoreboard. Craighead would take the mound for the Tigers. Defensively, the Tigers came out swinging by both their senior leaders, Craighead and Johnny Brown each getting a double and putting a run on the board. An injury pulls Craighead in the second inning, but allows Woodard to take the mound who fought hard for the remainder of the game. The Tigers would lead for most of the game, but York would get the win with a final score of 9 – 8.


Macon County would end the week participating in a tournament in White House, TN. Game 1: MCHS vs. Barren Co. KY – Tigers would lose 6 – 16, several players saw action on the mound Williams had 1 strikeout, 3 hits, 5 walks; Carnahan 3 strikeouts, 3 hits, 4 walks, Gregory 1 strikeout, 4 hits, 1 walk. Jacob Brown would go 4 for 4 with 2 RBIs, Carnahan 2 for 3 with a walk. Game 2: MCHS vs White House – Tigers get another loss 5 – 11. Brandon Noles would pitch 3-2/3 innings allowing 6 hits and 6 walks. Austin Herbert would come in with 2 outs in the third inning. This young Freshman performed well on the mound with 1 strikeout and 4 hits. Jacob Brown would go 2 for 4 with a RBI, Boone would go 2 for 4 with 3 RBIs.


Macon County will be home again on Monday, April 14th to host DeKalb Co in District action.
