Four individuals were taken to the hospital to get checked out after a two vehicle fender-to-bumper wreck on Hwy 10 Wednesday morning.

A gold 2000 Nissan truck was on Hwy 10 South, pausing to turn left on Old Bottom Road when impact occurred. A second vehicle, a 2002 silver Ford, attempted to avoid impact but could not, striking the first vehicle in the rear.

The first vehicle contained just one driver—a 25-year-old Sandra Vicente—and the second contained a driver—23-year-old Meynardo Alonzo—and two passengers. The passengers included a pregnant woman, Antolina Martinez, and another man, Jerman Galguera.

The female driver of vehicle one, and the two men in the other car, were transported to Macon County General Hospital to be checked out. The pregnant woman was taken to Sumner County Medical Center. Trooper Justin Mote said that “There were no critical injuries or anything like that… I think they were just mostly concerned about the pregnant woman. And the one driver, she got discharged before I even left the hospital.”

Sandra Vicente was charged with driving without a license and financial responsibility violation. Meynardo Alonzo was charged with driving without a license, financial responsibility violation, seatbelt violation, and failure to exercise due care.
