The Macon County Sheriff’s Department charged two people with burglary after recovering stolen tools at a residence in Lebanon, TN, that were taken from Manion Road in Lafayette. Detectives had been investigating this case from Manion Rd. for over a month. The items in question included a chainsaw, Homelite wood splitter, Stihl weed eater, circular saws, and additional power tools which all together valued approximately $3,500.
Chief Detective Bryon Satterfield reported, “MCSD Investigators conducted several interviews which led them to a residence in Lebanon, and in conjunction with the Lebanon Police Department, a surveillance was set up at the residence. Eventually detectives were able to make contact with an individual. After interviews with that individual, the property that was found at the residence, which was consistent with the property missing on Manion Road. After gathering additional evidence and matching descriptions and numbers of these items, it was found that the items were that which were taken from Manion Road.”
All property that was recovered has now been returned to the owner.
Donald Butrum Jr., 19, of 116 Fontenay Drive, Lebanon, TN, was charged with burglary over $1,000, and vandalism.
Kendra M. Baine, 21, of 4164 Old Rome Pike, Lebanon, TN, was charged with burglary over $1,000, and vandalism.
