A family home located across from the Red Boiling Springs city hall burned on Friday night and was a complete loss. There were no personal injuries.
The home, at 366 Lafayette Road, was owned by Tony and Rebecca King. The Red Boiling Springs Fire Department received the call at about 8:00 pm on Friday, January 17. Randy Hagan, the officer in charge who wrote the report, said that the entire interior home was involved by the time they arrived. The walls were already starting to burn through as well.
“We worked quickly to extinguish the flames but the inside of the house and contents were lost,” said Hagan. Hagan’s report states that there were oxygen tanks located inside the house. Fourteen firefighters responded to the call, and they utilized a ladder truck, among other equipment.
The cause of the fire was still unknown at press time.
