On Thursday, June 19, the Macon County Library hosted Kevin Kidd as educational entertainment for kids and adults alike. Kidd performed his act with the help of his three musical daughters, who each sing and play the fiddle.

The following information about Kidd was provided by the library:

Kevin Kidd likes to teach important values in whimsical, sometimes silly songs. In addition to his highly acclaimed kids CD’s, Kevin Kidd currently performs for young audiences at elementary schools, preschools, libraries, churches, and other kid-friendly places. His enthusiastic songs and energetic teaching are fast making him a favorite of children, teachers and parents. Some of his accolades include:

* Keynote or workshop presenter for NAAEYC, TAEYC, RAEYC and many other early childhood conferences.

* 3 highly acclaimed children’s recordings

* Cover stories for two international music trade publications

* Songwriter on a GRAMMY nominated recording

* 2 songs on the bluegrass music charts

Kevin says, “The key is—make learning fun!” And that’s just what he does, combining clever dialogue and original songs for the perfect mix of fun and learning.

Next, library patrons can enjoy a visit from NHECM Wildlife on Thursday, June 26th!
