A Lafayette man recently became one of only a hundred to win a spot on the Titans “Hall of Fans,” after entering a photo of himself in full makeup in a Facebook contest. Albert Clay, aka Katman to friends, is a die-hard Titans fan who won four season tickets, a gift bag from Coke Zero, $50 concession food voucher and his own personal Titans Hall of Fans Banner. As part of the prize package, he and the other winners were photographed on Sunday, August 10, and their photos were incorporated into the Hall of Fans banner that they received.
“I’ve been a football fan all my life,” said Clay. He’s been dressing up for various teams for years. Even before Tennessee had a professional football team, Clay was cheering on the Arena Football League’s Nashville Kats dressed as a cat, which is where he derived his nickname. Clay’s fiance, Anna Gregorich, also shares his love for football fever and joins him in donning full fan make up.
“I didn’t expect to win because I’ve entered similar contests before,” said Clay. He typically attends 2 to 3 games a season, always with a different face. This year he informed his fiance that going to games was not in the budget due to their upcoming wedding. However, winning the contest has changed all that for Clay and some lucky others. “We are going to spread it amongst our friends,” he stated.
