The Red Boiling Springs Lions Club held a Pancake Supper this past Saturday, July 26 at the Historic Armour’s Hotel in RBS. Proceeds from this event, as well as many other events, will help support local area students in need of back to school supplies.

The RBS Lions Club next big event is the annual Duck Days. It will take place on August 30th on the grounds of the Palace in RBS. This event will begin at 10:00 and will include a host of events such as live music, craft booths, food vendors, games, and the big duck race. You may still adopt a duck for $5.00. There is a $100.00 cash prize for 1st place duck and a $50.00 prize for last place lame duck. T-shirts of the annual Duck Days will also be available for purchase for $12.00.

The RBS Lions Club is also in the early stages of planning a brand new family event. This event is the Family Fall Festival which will take place on October 25 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. on the grounds of the Armour Hotel in RBS. This event is in the early planning stages but will include 2 music stages with bluegrass and gospel music with the stages set up as a casual backyard stage and the other a front porch pickin’ style stage (there will be a fan-based prized for this event). The event will also feature family oriented comedians, craft booths, food, hayrides, games, and much more.

If you are interested in being a vendor or performing in this event you may contact Samantha Hardin at 699-7387. Be sure to check out the RBS Lions Club on their Facebook Page (Red Boiling Springs TN Lions Club) for all their upcoming events.Cutlines:
