Macon Spay Neuter Assistance (MSNA) set a goal of assisting with the spaying or neutering of 100 “community cats”, which includes both feral and outside friendly cats, by March 31. From mid-January to March 31, 103 cats have been transported to Sumner Spay Neuter Alliance (SSNA) for spaying or neutering under the Community Cats program made possible through a lifesaving grant from Best Friends. Currently MSNA has 109 cats on a waiting list to be transported in April.

MSNA worked in conjunction with Middle TN Community Cats - Barn Cat Program to find barn homes for the cats living at the Hwy 10 construction site area.

MSNA’s second goal was submitting the Charter for Non-Profit to the TN Secretary of State’s Office March 29, the first step in filing for non-profit status. The group will continue working through the filing process as our funds permit. A yard and bake sale is being planned for the first week in May. Watch for further information providing exact date, time and location.

Lastly, MSNA would like to extend a “THANK YOU” to the people who have already made donations to support the efforts of this group.
