William Carter, owner of Carter Homes in Lafayette, spoke at last week’s Rotary Club meeting. Carter talked about the residential and commercial real estate markets in Macon county, and how they have both improved over the last 12 months, as well as some of the many great reasons Macon county is a great place to invest in.
Dennis Wolford, as chairman of Makin’ Macon Fit, also presented a check for $1000 to Jackie Sircy, director of the Coordinated School Health Program, to be used for their Backpack program.
The Rotary club is a service organization devoted to various projects supporting the community-at-large, including Makin’ Macon Fit, the Macon County 3rd Graders Dictionary Initiative, Boy Scouts, the Macon County High School Interact Club and the Junior High Interact Club, as well as scholarships.
