The 2013 Red Boiling Springs Nighttime Christmas Parade was a beautiful experience! Despite the windy cold night, the participants persevered and gave the community a wonderful parade and gorgeous floats. Mr. Bobby H. Knight, aka Mr. RBS, served as Grand Marshal this year. A former teacher and businessman, Knight grew up during the resort era and helped his family operate one of the many boarding houses located in Red Boiling Springs. He is one of the four children of the former Macon County Sheriff Hubert Knight. Knight is an advocate of the community and knows the history of just about every lot in town!

This year’s parade winners include Mrs. Connie Blackwell, Antique Car/ Truck; Bartley’s Firearms and Farm, Small Business; and North Central Telephone Cooperative (NCTC), Large Business. Vision 2020 Inc would like to thank the 2013 sponsors: RBS Government, Tri-County Electric, Citizens Bank, and NCTC. In addition, special thanks to the participants, community volunteers, RBS Police Department, RBS Fire Department, and Macon County Sheriff Department. It is amazing to see what we accomplish working together!
