Our league has all of our teams and squads practicing at least twice a week now. The older division football teams and cheerleading squads will travel to Westmoreland this Saturday, August 28, to participate in Westmoreland’s opening jamboree.

The schedule for our league teams is as follows: At 10:30 Macon Co. Spartans will play Westmoreland’s Raiders; at 11:15 Macon Co. Cowboys will play Westmoreland Jets; at 12:00 Macon Co. Bulldogs will play Westmoreland Titans; at 12:45 Macon Co. LSU will play Westmoreland Eagles; at 1:30 Macon Co. Blue Raiders will play Allen Co. Redskins and at 2:15 Macon Co. Steelers will play Allen Co. Jets.

All of our league teams will be the visitors during this jamboree. We encourage and invite everyone to come out and watch all six of our teams play and cheer; and be there to support them while they play these outside teams.

Also the league’s pictures will be made this Sunday, August 29, by Pam’s Photography. She will be going around this week to hand out envelopes that have the schedule on them for these pictures.

Following is the schedule that she has made – 12:45 is the Blue Raiders football team; 1:00 is the Green flag team; 1:10 is the Blue flag team; 1:25 is the Red flag team; 1:35 is the White flag team; 1:45 is the Gray flag team; 2:00 is the Orange flag team; 2:10 is the Bama football team; 2:25 is the Bama cheerleading squad; 2:35 is the Tigers football team; 2:50 is the Tigers cheerleading squad; 3:05 is the Titans football team; 3:15 is the Titans cheerleading squad; 3:30 is the Vols football team; 3:45 is the Vols cheerleading squad; 3:55 is the Blue Raiders cheerleading squad; 4:05 is the Bulldogs cheerleading squad; 4:15 is the Bulldogs football team; 4:25 is the Cowboys cheerleading squad; 4:40 is the Cowboys football team; 4:50 is the LSU football team; 5:00 is the LSU cheerleading squad; 5:10 is the Spartans cheerleading squad; 5:25 is the Spartans football team; 5:35 is the Steelers football team and 5:45 is the Steelers cheerleading team. All officers and board members pictures will be made at 1:30.

Also each team needs to be present 15 minutes before their scheduled time so we can stay on schedule. We will not be able to wait for someone who is not there. Every player and cheerleader needs to be present for their team picture as this will be what is put in the program.

Also our 1st fundraiser is in progress right now. We are getting ads for our 2010 program and our coaches and parents are going around and asking local businesses and individuals to place an ad in this program. This is very important to our league as this is our biggest fundraiser. If anyone wants to place an ad, either as a business, parent, or individual; please see your coach or any coach in our league, or any officer of our league.

Our league’s jamboree will be held on Saturday September 11 and will start at 4:00 that afternoon. All of our teams and squads will be starting action that day. Also, all of the program ads and money is due on this day.
