Gammon will work as an inserter in the mail room.
Since February 2010, Gammon has served as a contributing photographer. She will continue providing photos in addition to her new office staff position.
Gammon, a commercial photography major at Nossi College, will be responsible for assisting with coupons, putting the separate newspaper sections together, putting labels on the papers and taking the papers to racks and to the post office for delivery. She will be under the supervision of Office Manager Leigh Dallas.
“Angel is enthusiastic, hard-working and never lacks for energy and determination," Managing Editor Brad Gaskins said. "She cares deeply about the Times. Her loyalty and dedication to us is remarkable, and when this position became available and she turned in an application, I knew we had to have her. Fortunately, we got her.”
Gammon is the second hire by the Times in 11 days.
Sales Representative Bryan Sircy began working alongside Hope Green last week.
“In print and online, we continue to see tremendous growth,” Gaskins said. “The addition of another inserter and sales rep will help us manage that growth and continue serving Macon County, just as we've done for 91 years."
