Hope everybody had a nice week also stayed cool. Most residents stay inside. I was out not too early on Sunday morning. Annie Heady went up to get her mail. Terry Mason was walking his dog. I was out on my porch for fresh air and to watch my little humming birds. They are so beautiful. They can take things off of your mind and just makes everything better.
Sorry to learn that Calcie Stinson is in Knollwood Manor here in Lafayette, Tn. Connie Gann and Golden Oaks residents wish her the best. Pray that she can come back home at Golden Oaks. Take care.
On Sunday, I had this nice phone call from Jeanelle Holland. She wasn’t feeling so good. It always helps me to talk to her. I wish and pray that she can get better. She is a nice lady.

On Saturday was a great day here in the Village. It was hot. Now most all residents are kind of use to the heat just try to get up early and get things that we have to get done if we don’t have to get up just stay in bed if you like. I try to get up early. On Friday, I was up early. I didn’t feel so good. I fryed some apples and cook a nice roast. It’s just too hot to get out after it gets hot. Not much going on here in the Village today. It’s nice that residents can do whatever they like and enjoy.
Some nice person cut the grass and garden spot where Golden Oaks one time had for a garden. Some Golden Oaks residents spent some happy times doing what they had done all there life. It looks so much better those weeds made it look hot and also made it look as no one cared how it looked. Golden Oaks has always looked nice. Also residents and managers always took pride in taking care of Golden Oaks grounds. Everybody is so thankful of Golden Oaks Village. It’s a great place to grow old. Connie Gann does a great job. Also Randall Flippen and Marty Curtis. Thanks, Connie Gann.
Friday afternoon, I had a special guest. It was Gene Ford from Georgia. Gene and my late son Hiliis White grew up on Ford Branch from small boys to men. Had a great time together. I was so proud to have him come to visit shows that a good friend we don’t forget. He was in town to visit his sister Doris Eller and family. I also watched Doris and his sister Carolyn grow up. We talked of all the good times. I could just go on and on about the life on Ford Branch and all the good neighbors that always helped each other. I want to say Gene made my day. Gene and Hillis was always good friends. Friday was a great day. I wish you the best, Take Care. I love you so much.
At the Sally Wells Building, Thursday, August 12th, was a great day for Rick Gann and family. Had a appreciation cook out meal for all the votes and support you gave me. Had a delicious meal. Also a large crowd. Everybody had a good time. Thanks again Rick and family.
At this time, all Titans fans I guess you know how the game went on Saturday night. We all were hoping they would win. It looked good at first. They just can’t play around. Just play better and go in for a big win. Don’t let all the fans down in year 2010.
At this time Milanie Prock is not feeling well. All her family and friends wish her the best also good health. Our prayers are with you.
