She was born in Macon County, TN, on September 12, 1915 to the late Albert Richardson and Elvira Pitcock Richardson. She was a retired homemaker, a member of Sadlers Chapel United Methodist Church, a member of the Old Rocky Hill Homemakers Club and the widow of Blain McDonald who died September 25, 1983.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Douglas and Willadean McDonald of Lafayette, TN; two daughters and sons-in-law: Ina Kay and Mike Shelton of Houston, TX, Malinda Gay and Joe Hersh of Nashville, TN; 2 half sisters: Loretta Pontrich of Westview, KY, and Lula Kessinger of Jacksonville, IL; three grandchildren: Andrew Cassety, Miranda Rau and Nick Donnegan; two great-grandchildren: Jackson and Carson Rau.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son: Louis Ray McDonald, a daughter J. Faye McDonald, three brothers: Albert, Lanta, and Bill Richardson, on sister: Mona Davis and two half sisters: Loraine Richardson and Mildred Hayes.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, August 11 at 10 AM at Strode’s Gamaliel Chapel in Gamaliel. Bro. Todd Richardson and Bro. Jeremy Yokley officiated. Burial was in the Gamaliel Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Barry Rosinger, Mike Rosinger, Tony Richardson, Kevin Meadlock, Jeff Meadlock, Rocky Rau.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association, Gamaliel Cemetery or Corinth Gardens.
