UPDATES FROM RADIO DISPATCH:
4:22 a.m.: Use caution if you drive; rain has slacked off but water continues to rise in some areas.
4:10 a.m.: Times correspondent Megan Hutcherson reports that Green Valley Road is impassable.
4:05 a.m.: Tri-County is working to restore power to some areas. A Lafayette Police official in the area of Sneed and Akersville reported seeing a flash come from near the substation. Initial reports indicate the flash occurred as Tri-County attempted to restore the power. Officials think a tree might be down on a nearby power line.
3:49 a.m.: The Macon County Highway Department informed the Macon County Sheriff's Department that Old Bottom Road was cleared of the downed tree from earlier. The sheriff's department responded that it was unaware of any other downed trees at this time.
3:05 a.m.: Good news: the law enforcement vehicle has started and moving.
2:56 a.m.: A law enforcement vehicle in the vicinity of the Shiloh Bridge area won’t start again after running into high water while on a non-flood related call. Radio dispatch indicated the car was flooded to some degree as it passed through high water. Now, it won't start back up. No injuries or immediate danger to those inside.
2:18: Emergency personell were just asked by radio dispatch to help with "water control" on Main Street in RBS.
2:15 a.m.: The Macon County Highway Department is responding to a downed tree on Old Bottom Road, just before you get to Old Bottom Church coming off Highway 10.
