In the County General Election on Thursday, Aug. 5, he was unopposed.
Morey received 104 votes in the race for District 14 County Commissioner.
Now, Morey can continue speaking his mind in his first full term.
Morey entered the election as a sitting commissioner, though he did not run in the last election four years ago.
Instead, commissioners voted Morey onto the council during their Nov. 16 meeting to fill a vacant seat.
Morey represents commissioners on the 3-Star Tourism Committee and is a staunch supporter of bringing liquor by the drink to Macon County.
