The Red Boiling Springs Softball team had a good week. They didn’t win all their games, but they played well in all their games. They played Jackson County on April 14th, Watertown on April 15th and Trousdale on April 17th.

On April 14, 2014, the Lady Bulldogs lost 3-7 to Jackson County. #8 Katelyn Murphy, #9 Sydney West and #3 Mackenzie Sadler scored the runs. Sadler was the losing pitcher, but had a good day at the plate with a single, a walk and two RBIs.

On April 15, 2014, the girls had a great game. They lost 5-7 to Watertown, but it was a close game and the team got a chance to stretch their muscles on the field and at the plate. Coach Stacey Mims said: “We played one of the best games we’ve played all year. Kristen Stacey hit a two-run home run over the fence. We really should have won the game.” Hannah Smith was the losing pitcher. #3 Mackenzie Sadler had a single, an RBI and scored a run. #19 Kristen Stacey had a two-run home run, three RBI’s and scored a run. #25 Shaylee Ellingson had a great day at the plate with two singles, two doubles and three runs.

The Lady Bulldogs held Trousdale County to one run for the first six innings of their game on April 17, 2014. They scored two runs in the seventh, then watched in horror as Trousdale scored eight. With a single and a double, #21 Jenna Dziekiewicz scored one of the Lady Bulldog’s two runs. #8 Katelyn Murphy scored the other and was credited with an RBI and two singles. Hannah Smith was the losing pitcher.
