Bill Jolley, VP/Rural Health Issues for the TN Hospital Assn., addressed the Rotary Club at last week’s meeting. Jolley spoke concerning the association’s position that cuts to Medicare through sequestration could hurt rural hospitals in TN, and encouraged people to contact their lawmakers in support of an expansion of the TNCare program. The Rotary club is a service organization devoted to various projects supporting the community-at-large, including Makin’ Macon Fit, the Macon County 3rd Graders Dictionary Initiative, Boy Scouts, the Macon County High School Interact Club and the Junior High Interact Club, as well as scholarships.
