A Lafayette man was arrested following a domestic altercation that occurred on Sunday.

Logan Biggs, 18, was charged with aggravated domestic assault following the incident.

According to the arrest report, Macon County Sheriff's Department deputy Josh Meador was dispatched to a Tuck Road residence after a female was stating that her boyfriend had pulled a gun on her.

When Meador arrived and spoke to the alleged victim, she told Meador that Biggs smacked her in the mouth and then pointed a sawed-off shotgun at her.

Biggs also gave a written statement as to what occurred.

Biggs was at another residence at the time, so Meador went there and cleared the residence. He then located a Smith & Wesson 12-gauge shotgun underneath the mattress on Biggs' bed, and it had been sawed off, matching the description of the female.

Meador also discovered 2.5 grams of a green, leafy substance that was lying on a small table.

Biggs was charged with aggravated domestic assault, possession of a prohibited weapon and simple possession.

His bond was set at $8,200, and his court date is slated for Sept. 26.
