Kyra White judged the live-bird component of poultry judging.

The Central Region 4-H Poultry Judging Contest was held in Lebanon at the Wilson County Fairgrounds on Thursday, Sept. 28.

This was the second year that Macon County 4-H members competed in poultry judging.

At the contest, the 4-H members judged live birds, graded carcasses, identified chicken parts, graded egg candling, graded exterior quality eggs, and graded broken-out eggs.

The junior high team that consisted of William Harp (26th place), Paige Davenport (fourth place), Emma Stevens (36th place) and Delaney Turner (20th place) finished in third place as a team.

The junior high team that consisted of Todd Chandler (43rd place), Layla Amons (42nd place), Sarha Chandler (29th place) and Elijah Johnson (49th place) finished in 10th place as a team.

The junior team - consisting of Max Sircy (26th place), Stone Copas (23rd place), Kyra White (50th place) and Kallen Wix (22nd place) - finished in fifth place.

Bradon Warren placed 35th as an individual, and Elijah Warren (64th place) and Claire Jared (47th place) also competed as individuals.
